Booby Trap when lifting out of box, use steel toed boots, protect toesNote: the mounting flanges on the arms where they connect to the back may not be quite perpendicular to the arms. This will make more sense when you get to it. Don't sweat it, don't fight it. Just get some pliers and gently bend it a millimeter or two until it's visibly straight. Easy peasy, it'll take 5 seconds but make a big difference in having bolts line up with threaded holes. We bought 6 chairs and need to "adjust" the flanges on 4 of them. No biggie.Otherwise, the assembly was just nuts and bolts, pretty straightforward.I love the swivel. The rocking is due to a plate of spring steel, not spiral springs. You get about 15 degrees. Don't expect a recliner here. For chairs around a table, it's perfect. To lounge around in, I'd want a deeper rocking.Once assembled, the chairs look nice. However, I encountered three issues: 1) On one side of one of the cushions the piping was not correctly sewn. In fact, a 1" part of it was hanging out and not tucked/sewn in like the rest of the piping. This was easy to see and, worse, even easier to snag in the future. This should have been caught by any reasonable visual inspection before shipping. Ugh. 2) Though the swivel feature is a full 360 degrees in both directions, the rocking feature is barely a feature. "Rocking" is ever so slight a rock to be barely noticeable. This product shouldn't be referred to as a "Rocker". It is more like a "Slight Wobble". Use of the term "Rocker" is EXTREMELY misleading! 3) The diagram/instructions for assembling the product was one of the most minimal/information-packed I had ever seen. Despite its incredible succinctness and obvious intent to stick to one page only, the drawings could have been clearer/bigger (e.g. which direction the seat goes (wider part front or wider part back), and the path/contact points of the screws and bolts would be easier to see if the drawings were bigger). Also, an explicit caveat regarding not fully tightening any screws or bolts until at least every screw and bolt was, at least, partially threaded would be very helpful as well! Not comfy to us. The back hits husband and I wrong. We vary in height. My husband doesn't care for them either. We really like the looks of them and like the swivel. They do not rock, the have a slight bounce, but not a rocker. These look great and I think will be better in a few months of use but you have to be pretty strong to get them to rock or recline in anyway. We replaced the bottom cushion with a full cushion so made them more comfortable. We also needed to switch out a couple of screws that did not seem quite long enough to be secure. All in all pretty good for chairs in the front we don’t use daily. The chairs are very nice.. Cushions not as comfortable as I wish and will need to find something for the back.. to hard for my liking. One of the chairs have 2 blemishes. I still have not heard from company to see if they can send me a new back. a little disappointed in that.I liked the features of these chairs that they rocked as well as rotated. After assembly I found the chairs to be too upright to be comfortable so I added 1/8 shims to where the rocker spring meets the frame. This makes the seat tilt back a bit. Since the rocking motion is limited, I plan to drill a hole in the center of the rocker springs to give more rocking. I will update this review when I do this. Also added a rear cushion to make it more comfortable. Will include a photo of the modifications also.Comfortable! Sturdy! Excellent Quality! Semi easy to assemble - no instructions but I have a super smart husband who figured it out - even if he wasn't smart, he could figure it out. Cushions are comfortable. Swivel very smoothly and they do rock a bit - which is what we were looking for also in new patio chairs. Great buy and would purchase again! LOVE THEM!!
