I like the umbrella, however we recently forgot to wind it down and the next morning the wind cracked the pole in half. The pole is not very well made after we saw how thin the material was compared to my other umbrellas. The wind was not very strong. We are still using it but the umbrella is sitting about 2 1/2 feet shorter then it was.I do like the way it mounts to the deck rail.I love my beautiful red umbrella! It has not faded and the color is vibrant red. I also have the turquoise one and it is a beautiful true bright color as well. They are sturdy, easy to operate and are made well. My 1st order they shipped the wrong color so I contacted the company they immediately offered me the wrong color for 1/2 price I stead of hasseling with the shipping. I kept it and am so glad I did. I reordered the red one and it was shipped quickly with no problems. Great customer service! I will definitely buy this product again!I am extremely disappointed with the quality of this ummbrella. We have an extremely large deck and have 5 umbrellas. This is my only bad Amazon purchase. The spines are supposedly steel but are thin and weak..... Nothing compared to umbrellas purchased at Lowe's for less money. The fabric is so thin, that I could not believe it. Even the crank mechanism is unsubstantial. It would have been such a hassle to return it, I am going to keep the 'bloomin thing'. I just bought 2 new umbrellas from Lowe's and I am going to keep a photo record of the three umbrellas....fabric fading, bent spines, general appearance, etc. All 3 are 9 foot umbrellas but the one from Amazon must have been measured incorrectly. It is much smaller than my other 9 foot umbrellas. I did like the red color but that is the only positive thing I can say about this. We do a lot of Amazon shopping and until this purchase, we have been more than satisfied. I am very mindful of our Texas storms/ wind and never leave any of the umbrellas extended when bad weather. Is in the forecast. I have one umbrella that is over 10 years old and it still works/ looks great. Sorry for the poor review.... Maybe I got a lemon that was skipped by quality control. MargeeTxNot bad and good price. But is fading over the summer and had hoped it was not so much. The top and underside colors are quite different with the fading, but not too noticeable. But at the price point, cant complain too much when compared to the Sunbrella fabric units which are way more costly.I haven't had this very long, but it seems to be a great umbrella for the price. The red option is a beautiful vibrant color, and it seems to be a sturdy product. Fyi...read the description. It does not come with a base, as shown in a few pics. This wasn't an issue for my needs.I've had it for one year used it thru the summer months. Brought it out the next spring and it lasted a couple of times opening it. Had it up the one day the wind blew and it folded down and would never stay up again. Big disappointment. I really love the money I wasted on this.Very happy with this product. It looks so nice and made my patio look very nice.Great product! Well made! Great customer service too.
