I have never seen a shipment of furniture constructed and packed so well. The box it was shipped in was constructed of very heavy cardboard with a sheet of plywood on the bottom. Upon opening the box I found the items were well packed and protected with foam, and plastic sheeting and separated by empty boxes, so there could be no movement during shipping.There was a very detailed instruction book, with pictures, for the assembly. All parts were labeled with letters to match the diagrams in the manual. My teen age nephew assembled the set in about 1½ hours. Everything that was needed was in the box. The set was made of a very heavy material, probably steel. The legs were put on the table first, they were held on with 6 screws and then he assembled the chairs, which had 10 screws each. Both the table and chairs were very sturdy and level.The only problem I encountered with the purchase was the delivery. I was told to expect a delivery between 8 am and 8 pm and I would get a call 15 minutes before arrival. I checking the computer the morning of the delivery, it said they hoped to be able to deliver it that day. I called Amazon, was transferred to the Logistics department, and was told to expect it between 11 am and 3 pm. After not receiving a call by 3:15 I checked the computer and found that the delivery had been made, for signature it listed Garage I had received no call and no one rang the bell. I went outside to find the 250-pound box in the middle of my driveway. I had no way of moving it, I called Amazon and they said someone would come the next day, Monday, but they would try to get them to come on Sunday. Today is Tuesday, and I have seen no one. I paid some neighborhood teens to move it out of the driveway and into my backyard. I yesterday was assembled.The picture was taken before all the chairs were assembled. It rained and we finished indoors. The water wiped right off the table.I looked around for a dining set; of all I saw this was the best, for the price and for the construction.
